Description Lumignano, a historic crag in the province of Vicenza, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The first route opened on these walls of the Colli Berici dates back to 1924. Over the course of a century, the world of climbing has changed completely, both in terms of the number of enthusiasts and the ways of tackling the rocky walls, especially the crags.Lumignano has managed, over the decades and through the many climbers and users, to renew itself, sometimes giving rise to ethical movements, sometimes to philosophical impulses, and sometimes to major events. It is therefore a crag that has traversed history but, it can certainly be said, has “marked the history” of an activity that, in recent years, is experiencing a new boom.
